Board of Directors & Executive Management
Hing Lee is the Chairman of the Board of EqOpTech. He is Founder and CEO of Search411. Hing has over 30 years of electronic and software design experience in test instrumentation, data-conversion, GPS systems, data storage and data networking. He has held various roles of R&D management at companies such as Analog Solutions, Trimble Navigation, Terayon, Network Appliance, and Accet Network. Hing brings to EqOpTech various startup company experiences obtained throughout his Hi-Tech career. In his spare time, Hing has been an active volunteer at Boy Scouts Troop 31 and the Los Altos Schools for the past 14 years. Hing holds a BS EECS degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Lucy Lee CPA, Board Secretary, is a Deloitte alumna with more than 30 years of technical accounting and operational finance experience. She is Principal at Data5D and CFO at Search411 Inc. Lucy has held several senior management positions with NetApp, Inc., USWeb/CKS and Integrated Device Technology. In her academia involvement, she currently also serves on the Faculty at Golden Gate University, teaching graduate courses. She has been active with the wider eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) community, co-developed the XBRL US GAAP Certificate Program and volunteers her time in a number of XBRL US and XBRL International working groups and conferences. She is an avid blogger and frequent tweeter. Lucy has served as a Boy Scout Community Service Chair and volunteers for the past 6 years. She holds a BA degree from University of Essex and a MS degree from University of Manchester in England.
Terence Lee is a junior at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Inspired by his Eagle Scout Project to recycle, refurbish and redeploy unwanted computers, he founded EqOpTech to enable free, equal opportunity access to technology, resources and workshops to help educate underserved students.
To further engage more students to learn on a global scale, Terence would like to explore automation using machine learning and artificial intelligence to engineer a computer system to teach students in an engaging, interactive, and adaptive way.
EqOpTech Board of Advisors
Sra. Terri Salsman de Rodriguex, Spanish Teacher, serves as Advisor of the EqOpTech Club at Los Altos High School. She attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon and transferred to Santa Clara University where she received degrees in Spanish, Political Science and her teaching credential. Several years ago, she became a Nationally Certified Teacher and was renewed in 2013. Prior to teaching at Los Altos High School, Sra. Rodriguex taught at Saint Ignacios High School, a school for boys, the American School in Monterrey, México and Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. In May of 2010, she was honored by the Goldin Foundation and received an award for technology integration in her classes. As technology integration has become her personal passion, she is a frequent speaker at several teaching conferences including College Board Annual Conferences as well as the California Language Teacher's Association Annual Conference.
